uttq stands for UnTranslated Typing Quirk, this is to refer to a typing quirk, that usually requires translation, that is written as is without translation or reading aid.
uttqs tend to break screenreaders, confuse dyslexic people, or annoy people that aren't hardcore homestuck fans. thus they require a warning.

in the case of a uttq, one of two pathes must be followed. in both of them it requires adding the uttq warning. for path one, which is used on important or relevant parts of the site, such as /pages/shrines and other pages that we want to have available for a general public, the page with a uttq must come with an alternative tqless mirror. the second path is only providing a uttq page, this is used on optional, extra, meta and gatekept pages. mainly things like pages on /pages/sillies/, things we only want to share without censorship or fun stuff for ourselves only.

core and general pages *cannot* have an uttq version. core is things like: site root, links page and the pages under /main. general are pages that are used/coded by different people at the same time without specifying who wrote what, nobody can prioritize their own tq on general pages. this page counts as a general page, for example.

remember that translating typing quirks can be considered masking, and forcing/demanding a translation (not just politely asking, things like "typing quirks are inherently ableist") is a type of censorship. quirkless mirrors don't have to have a full word for word translation, as long as the general message is there (and it looks similar enough to the original) it works. feel free to reword or remove section in quirkless mirrors that you don't want to self censor.

you don't have to make things in core/important/relevant sections and don't have to make a typing quirkless mirror unless you want a general audience. posts under /blog can be written with a typing quirk without warning if added on /blog/tq/ altho it's recommended that individual blogs are made under personal subpages and /blog is used for the general system.

this feature was created while we were feeling a lot of guilt and mainly pressure to "make the indie web accessible" and while accessiblility is important we don't owe anyone access to our personal website. if we make a more proffessional website for a project or work accessibility is *very* important then. but this is for us and the people that decide they want in. take this as us being polite to those who have trouble understanding us. the same way we have no obligation to translate our dialect of spanish to a more neutral spanish nor to english just because most people don't understand chileans.

adding things like "fully optional" or "not necessary for a proper experience" in pages you do find important but don't want to self censor is allowed and encuraged, mainly so people don't whine about it because the people we are trying to avoid are going to click anyway, we cannot block people nor ip ban them so we will take safety messures like those. also things like the DASHBOARD-PREVIEW-PROTECTION images.

usage of span class caps is not required but recommended.
